Please join us for the “5 in 5” Matthew Homes Framing Day Event - Part 2
ReNew Communities is partnering again with Solid Rock Carpenters to raise the exterior walls, roof, and interior wall frames on 3 new Matthew Homes.
This Framing Day Event will be on Saturday, June 25th from 7:30am - 4pm.
The Prep Day for this will be the week before, on Saturday, June 18 from 8am - 4pm.
We are looking for experienced and skilled volunteers willing to work one or both days. If you are receiving this email, you qualify as such ;)
Many of you worked with us in April to build 2 homes "The Twins" in one day. We are planning a similar event to frame 3 more homes in one day - affectionately known as "The Triplets." For this project, we will be spread across 3 different work sites and not across the street from each other.
Prep Day (6/18) will consist of cutting lumber, stapling tyvek to the top and bottom plates, organizing lumber and assembling some walls and their components.
Framing Day (6/25) will take place on each individual work site and will have 2 crews per site.
Each "Street Shop Crew" will be made up of 20 inexperienced volunteers (per site) who will build the interior walls. (Recruitment for this is through a different registration link.)
The "Deck Crew" will be made up of those responding to this email. The Deck Crew will build all the exterior walls, raise exterior and interior walls, attach trusses and sheath the roof.
*Note: Each of the 3 deck crews will have no more than 15 volunteers. So sign up today if you're available and interested! A waitlist will be generated if we surpass this limit.
